Troubleshooting registration problems

Registration problems can be the result of misconfiguration or entering the wrong credentials in the Avaya Session Manager. Several settings should be verified and corrected if necessary.

Procedure

  1. Ensure that the details of the SM100 security module, extension, and communication profile password are entered accurately to register with Session Manager.
  2. Tap this sequence to verify that the configuration process completed successfully:

    > > Status > Network > Call Server

  3. Verify the realm configuration on the phone.

    Make sure it is set to * unless you are sure about the correct value for your system.
