Troubleshooting a system that cannot call PSTN numbers

Codec incompatibility may prevent a system from calling PSTN numbers.

About this task

The codecs that are selected on the system may not include any that are compatible with the codec selected on the gateway.

Procedure

  1. Check the codecs configured on the system.
  2. Select the appropriate gateway codec on the system to make the PSTN calls.
  3. Make sure Avaya Aura Platform and the gateway are set up to accept G.711.
